Pros
- It's a relatively simple setup process.
- Out of all email marketing automation platforms, I have found it to be the best if you need more control over your emails and know a bit of simple HTML (or are willing to google simple HTML).
- Composing email templates and creating drip campaigns is easy with Pardot once you get used to the workflow.
- Engagement Studio is very powerful. We have several different automations that help us clean and maintain the data.
- Pardot has most of the basic functionality you'd expect from a marketing automation platform.
- The emails are very easy to create and test.
Cons
- It was a bit tough to understand the UI at first, but once you get a grasp of it, it's really easy and smooth to use.
- There are definite gaps in functionality. SLA for sending automated emails is up to 60 minutes which is absolutely awful.
- You can't create landing pages on different domains/subdomains.
- The UI can be confusing. There are limitations in the ability to sort by custom columns or add custom columns to Pardot list views.
- I have struggled getting the forms to seamlessly connect with our website.
- It operates in very narrow lines. If you are attempting to repurpose it as a B2C marketing tool, you will find it doesn't quite fit that model as you would wish it to.
